It is because of the breathing and meditation on one’s body/mind that creates the release of the need to control in your body. When you are just being and in awareness of what is presenting itself the possibilities arise and the fascia opens up and all that is in between the tissues flows freely. When this happens everything opens up. That is what my client experience.

I am glad to know you found someone that could help you. I have never had anyone to be sore after a session. Everyone has their own experience and not two sessions are the same. Cranial Unwinding can be a very powerful and positive experience.

my practitioner had me unwinding after 4 sessions. then my body took over and when deeply relaxed went through various contortions that left me sore. upon seeing my
practitioner I was told to control the movements with breathing and thought. Since then
I had wonderful, insightful results .

Well Candice,
I am not sure just what you were experiencing. I have never had a client who has been sore after a cranial session. My client’s report feeling very relaxed and clam after a session. Because the cerebral spinal fluid baths the nerve endings it soothes and relaxes them. You are essentially unwinding the fascia allowing the interstitial fluid to flow freely, reducing toxins and releasing tension and tightness.

Hello,

I experienced cranial unwinding for the first time recently, It felt amazing and freeing, however that evening and the following day I felt very sore, stiff and quite tired? What was I experiencing? Is this a common response, or was my therapist inexperienced and therefore taking me through movements that were too much for me. I am in excellent health, I am fairly active. It didn't feel like too much movement at the time, but perhaps it is similar to trying a new activity that can sometimes leave me a bit stiff, after recruiting new muscles? I'm just curious to get your feedback. Thanks, Candice
