It opens channels in the body and mind, increases oxygen and essential body fluids and allows them to freely flow. Massage also helps to soothe nerve endings, loosening tissues, which helps them to rebuild and heal injured tissues. You have made a wonderful decision to have a professional massage. There are over 25 million Americans who seek professional massage and bodywork each year. Here are some tips to help you have a pleasant experience.

  • Be selective of the therapist you choose. When making an appointment ask questions or ask them when you arrive in the office just before your massage so you can feel safe.
  • Your therapist may ask you to fill out a confidential client form. Be sure to share any concerns or information you might have about health problems before the massage begins.
