Hypnosis is a heightened state of awareness and suggestibility. It moves your critical mind out of the way so that the non-critical portion can make changes that no longer serve you. It helps a person to focus on their goals in life and remove obstacles along the way. Hypnosis is that state you go between sleep and awake. We go to this place many times a day. Reading, watching a movie, daydreaming, meditating, intense concentration, driving, yoga, and prayer are all states of hypnosis.

Misconceptions About Hypnosis

  • Hypnosis is not about control over another person. The only control a person has over someone else is the control that they are willing to give.
  • You can remember what has been said while being under hypnosis, unless you have other expectations or if there is an issue that has not been addressed.
